Weight Training...

If you want to lose fat or change your body, one of the most important things you can do is lift weights.  Diet and cardio are equally important, but when it comes to changing how your body looks, weight training wins hands down.

If you've hesitated to start a strength training program, it may motivate you to know that lifting weights can:

  • Help raise your metabolism.
  • Muscle burns more calories than fat, so the more muscle you have, the more calories you'll burn.
  • Strengthen bones, especially important for women.
  • Make you stronger and increase muscular endurance.
  • Help you avoid injuries.

Getting started with strength training can be confusing, what exercises should you do?  How many sets and reps?  How much weight?  We have experts on hand to help you design a workout program to help you attain your fitness goals.

The Equipment...

Our "competition class" fitness center features free weights, dumbbells, barbells, plate loaded machines and much more.  We have over 80 dumbbels in two racks featuring multiple pairs of weights to minimize waiting time.  Our dumbells even go up to 140pounds!

We have over 25 Hammer Strength exercise machines to choose from.  These machines are plate loaded and are solid, state of the art machines for both the serious body builder and casual user.  Comfortable padding and modern engineering design make these machines safe, effective and fun to use!

We also feature Life Fitness machines.  These machines include cable crossovers, low rows, lat pulldowns, shoulder raise and ab machines.  We have several Life Fitness leg machines including presses and leg curling stations.

We have three Hammer Strength benches for pressing and other work.  We also have several fixed and adjustable benches for a variety of exercises.

Beginner or expert, you will not be disappointed here!
